Career Advancement

A spectrum of pilot programs have been created by STRIVE affiliates to direct graduates into higher paying jobs. Significant wage gains of up to $7,000 a year have been documented. Training is coordinated between targeted employers, vocational and educational programs, and STRIVE management to provide industry-specific training to the most qualified graduates.

Career counseling, GED preparation and continuing education advocacy are offered, along with advanced soft skills development geared to adapting to the corporate environment. Classes are scheduled in the evening and on weekends so that participants can balance the responsibilities of their current jobs with steps they are taking to prepare for advancement or for entirely new careers.
